Relax and Recharge
At Kents, we aim to provide an authentic, back-to-nature, off grid experience – an antidote to the stress of modern life and a chance for you to truly sit back and relax. Disconnect from the world for a while and reconnect with yourself in your own authentic Mongolian Yurt’. Yurts have been a way of life in Central Asia for over three thousand years, and are now experiencing an explosion in popularity across the globe, especially in the West and across Britain. It’s not hard to see why – the round design of the yurt gives a sense of comfort and serenity that’s hard to find in traditional housing, whilst the natural materials used provide a practical, eco-friendly nomadic dwelling with an earthy feel, perfect for the ultimate glamping experience.
Each yurt is made from Mongolian larch wood, with a thick layer of natural yaks wool insulation and a protective cover to keep you completely sheltered from the elements. Inside you’ll find two large double beds each with a comfy mattress and a wood burning stove to keep you toasty and warm on a chilly night. All of our yurts are handmade in Mongolia and feature hand painted traditional Mongolian artwork.
A stay in one of our yurts is a truly off-grid glamping experience, with no electricity or wifi, allowing you to fully connect with loved ones and the peaceful rolling hills surrounding you.
- Two double beds, sleeping a total of four in each yurt.
- An eco-friendly composting toilet.
- A shower, available in the main farmhouse.
- A washing up area with clean drinking water available.
- Candles for lighting
We ask that you bring your own bedding, as this helps to keep down the environmental impact of your stay. However, if you’re not arriving by car, bedding can be provided. We also ask that you do not smoke inside the yurts.
You are welcome to bring your own camping stove to cook on, or use the BBQ / Fire Pit.
Dogs are welcome but must be well behaved and cleaned up after as we have free range livestock!
Experience and Surroundings
Our yurts are set in the peaceful countryside of cornwall, on a working permaculture smallholding.
Enjoy views of the lush cornish countryside, hike the coastal path, or head out surfing in the seaside town of Bude, only four miles away.
With a variety of beaches, Bude is an excellent location for both experienced and beginner surfers alike. In Bude you can also find traditional Cornish pasties, cream tea, fish and chips as well as plenty of other restaurants, bars and shops. Once you’ve finished from a day of exploring, pop down to the local pub just a short walk away.
